    Hard working Britain

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6275105.stm

People in the UK are working fewer hours than they did 15 years ago, government figures have shown.

The average number of hours worked each week between September and November last year was 31.9, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

This is six minutes less than the previous quarter and compares with 33.2 hours between April and June in 1992.

Yes those long weeks of 31.9 hours.

A pity that these figures are applied only to the official working hours. Not the real ones in a country where overtime is so popular among permanent and contract staff that it's even seen as a mean for increasing productivity.
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.
