My £400 a day contract gives me 65k + takehome, how can a 70k permie job compare?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Are you talking about gross or net?

Well 70k gross for paupers like us.... And problem is that unless you move to top management positions this will be the ceiling for the next 20 years.

That's not bad really is it? Imagine living on 22K gross a year as most people in this country do.

Oddly, when I first started contracting I would have voted to stay with the permanent job.

But, now that I've been doing it for a while, I realise that it would take a lot more than this to tempt me to give up the freedom and flexibility thing that you get with contracting.

Money's still better (just) if you're on 400/day anyway.
Plan A is located just about here.
If that doesn't work, then there's always plan B

How can 5 people all be AtW? Surely one is enough for one board?
