UK racks up even more debt

UK annual trade gap hits record, BBC 8 Feb 2007
The total UK trade deficit for 2006 was £55.8bn, up from £44.6bn in 2005.
    BBC Consumer, 30 Jan 2007
Personal debt's on the rise. The UK has £1.25 trillion of outstanding credit, and it's increasing by £1m every four minutes.
Continuously borrowing more and more is all that is standing between the UK and some bad, bad times. But we can't do it forever...

What we need is a clever Chancellor - oh, we already have one!

True, but we can do it as long as we can keep the housing supply restricted. By which time I will have retired and will no longer care about being elected. Sorted.

I've heard they're on about bulldozing 300 houses in Mexborough. Now spread that across the country and eventually there'll be only one house left and it'll sell to some Russian oil magnate for £55.8bn. Sorted.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
threadeds website, and here's my blog.
