    You were the one that moved over to SQL as your main skill is that right?

    I was going to do that last year but took a perm role for a while. Would you say that things were looking up in that area as that is the feedback that I seem to be getting?

    Everybody needs DBAs/Developers. The rates seem quite good and I have never met an out of work SQL Server DBA.

    In fact when most contractors are going out of the door you always need someone to keep the database going.

    In my opinion, most SQL DBAs are reactionary and are happy to take the cash just to keep the systems going. So if you are a little proactive, you cannot fail.

    It was a good idea and has given me a new lease of contracting life.
