This subject has cropped up a few times but I feel it deserves a definitive list of things you do while the meter is running. Excluding work (They should be so lucky!) my 2 favourites are watching downloaded movies on my PDA in the disabled toilets and listing the client's office supplies for sale on ebay. Anything else? I don't want to feel like I'm missing out!

When really hungover I go to sleep somewhere. I used to work for a bank in Germany and there was a storage room with a long cabinet. On occasion I'd come to work with 1 - 2 hrs sleep under my belt and I would use the cabinet for some kip, it would be a bit tricky to slide into it, but once in with the door shut it was quite cosy. I once slept in there for almost 4 hours and awoke completely disorientated and returned to the office looked a bit dishevlledComment

Going home 2 hours earlier than I should on Friday cos' there is no one there to stop me doing otherwise!
Going shopping for 2 hours when I've gone off site to deal with a particularly difficult client issue.
Booking holidays, ordering stuff, online banking, online training courses the list goes on...Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

I get great personal satisfaction from taking a crap at work. In addition to being paid for laying said cable I save a fortune on toilet paper.Comment
