So, lets just say 'a friend' has deleted (by resizing) the partitions of a laptop and needs to recover the data. The file system is RAW, and after taking the Sata HDD from the laptop, into a desktop where its viewable and using Ontrack data recovery software *some* of that data seems recoverable. There are however two files (PSTs) which he needs to recover above all else, but these are not appearing in the scans.

Can you guys recommend any other software thats pretty good at this sort of thing, or methods and so on?

My friend would like to point out that it was totally not his fault and as such cant be held responsible for any data loss incurred :)

I use iRecover quite a bit - gets the stuff most of the time.

1. Don't do anything to drive now - no more operations etc.

2. Try RStudio - it is excellent and the best from that that I have tried.
