    Total eclispe of the moon tonight

    If you've got clear skies and not in the pub. Should be a good one this time.

    The eclipse begins at 2018 GMT, with the Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 2244 and 2358 GMT.

        No, it can't escape. It could possibly reach a tidal locking, but the Earth-Moon binary pair will be engulfed by the Sun going Red-giant in less than half the time it would take for that to happen.
