What's good to see in Manchester?

Planning a trip on 10/11th of April in Manchester. What's good to see there?
I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.

Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

            http://www.thelowry.com/

            Good art gallery and theatre/exhibitions.

Also next to a couple of bars/restaurants and (yawn) a modern shopping outlet...

Oh, and (even bigger yawn) Old Trafford is just across the water!!

About 15 mins by tram from Manc. city centre.

In Manc city centre , Urbis http://www.urbis.org.uk/ is quite interesting. Plus you can grab a fantastic lunch in Wagamama opposite!
