Cos chicken contains salmonella and pork contains worms that infect humans.

As an aside that's whey Jews and Muslims don't eat pork.

So why do they eat chicken and get offended by pictures of pigs?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

cos back in the old days there was no chickens in the holy land but there was a few disease ridden pigs when pass the worms on to humans. When they worked out that pigs were bad for you they forbid the eating of it.

Well it’s about time they updated their ideas along with the rest of their backward religion. I am not saying other religions are any better but at least they have some idea on how to get along in the modern world.
