    Cryptic Clue

    "Powerful Ruler"

Answer is type of fruit - not sultana apparently

Not a crossword clue so no hint as to number of letters
Why the avatar? Well anyone accused of plotting against Gordon Brown can't be all bad.

Is it possible the other "mandarin" is wrong?

Give us all the clues and we will sort it.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!
