    Barclays bank

I have had an account with Barclays since the age of 10.
I went in today just to ask them if they would write me a letter of address confirmation. To my surprise, the manager said they wouldnt be able to do this as they dont have the facilities to do so (whatever that means).

Is this an unreasonable request, or is it common for banks to refuse to do this.?

Apparently, It's common for Barclays to send you a letter saying "fook off" then charge you £25 for it. All part of the service.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Also if you are a contractor there it's common for them to say 'take a 20% rate cut or piss off!!'
Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!
