Where do you buy wholesale hardware?

I need some bits and bobs (couple of machines external HDD & stuff) and wondering if anyone can recommend a good supplier?

I'm London based so can travel to pick up - online is good as well!

eBuyer, Scan, Dabs, Komplett.... all online and all probably as cheap as wholesalers for small orders. The margins are so small it's the postage costs you've got to watch out for.

Yep, I get 99% of my stuff from Ebuyer - very competitive. The more obscure stuff can usually be found on Maplins Electronics website and their prices too are also very competitive

I get some bits n bobs from here when I need it http://www.aria.co.uk/. If you are selling on, then they also do lots of OEM stuff(software like antivirus) which is much cheaper

Forgot to mention Aria. They have a trade counter so you can pop in for any bits rather than wait for delivery.

Based near Manchester though so a trip from London would be a proper day out

This might be worth a look:

http://www.pixmania-pro.co.uk - they're based in France despite the .uk domain, so all purchases B2B are excluding VAT which helps on smaller items if you're on the Flat Rate Scheme.

Just watch out for manuals in french, unless you can read french

May not be an issue with IT kit that generally comes with multi-lingual docs but I know somone who bought a camera off them and had to get a manual in english direct from the manufacturer.

If you're after trade / wholesale then you might want to see if you can get an account at Micro Peripherals (http://www.micro-p.com). They're one of the largest UK distributors of hardware, so may be worth a shout.
