IR35 deemed salary - effect on existing salary

    Hi

Pretty much all my contracts are outside IR35. I take a £10000 salary and the rest in divs.

I'm looking at doing a small amount of work alongside what I'm doing now that probably falls within IR35 (fails control and substitution, passes MOO). If I have to take IR35 salary can I reduce what I'm paying myself currently in salary from the out of IR35 work, which will still be the majority of my income?

eg if the IR35 work comes to less that £10000 can I get away with the same amount of salary?

or have I just misunderstood it all?
