    Life's a piece of tulip...

    Sometimes.

In the last 6 weeks :

Father diagnosed with Prostate cancer, operated successfully only to find he now has a large and aggressive tumour in his bladder, his kidneys are packing up and he's spent so long in a hospital bed he's developed a DVT in his leg. Many trips to Cornwall visiting and helping/supporting Mum.

Grandmother-in-law, now 85, is becoming increasingly frail and unable to care for herself. Having sorted home help/care visitor etc find out she told then she didn't need them and to "send a cleaner once a week". Hadn't told us this or of the fact that she was ill and struggling to cope. Find this out as a result of her falling ill again and friends and neighbors not being able to cope with going from keeping an eye on her to having to care for her almost full time. Spent another week chasing social services / care providers to sort it out again and increase the level of care provided. Multiple trips up and down to Lancashire to sort it out. Rest of the in-laws apparently unconcerned.

Son breaks up with long term girlfriend, much teenage angst and wailing and gnashing of teeth etc. Usual teenage drama but something else we could do without.

Submit 8 weeks of invoices, only 4 get paid, no explanation forthcoming as yet.

So, for anyone who was wondering where I had got to, now you know.

These things happen when least expected and often all at once which doesn’t help.

Though it’ll pass before you know it, just have to hang in there mate!!!

May the force be with you!!!
