            Can't be my plan then. I only have totally bonkers plans with no realistic chance of success. A bit like most government IT projects.

              Therein lies your problem!!!

              Baseline your plan, divide the duration of your plan by an arbitary number (let's say 13) add a milestone for each of the periods. Now, at every milestone, double the forecasted budget.
