Look what dropped into my inbox today....
Also attached was a nice little JPG of some sums showing how I would be so much better off going via a composite....
Muppets, I like the way they try and make it sound like contractors with thier own LTD company are affected!
NEW TAX RULES !!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION !!
Are you contracted via a bona fide PAYE Umbrella Company?
If NOT then it is most important that you are aware of the significant changes taking place by the government to ensure that you are paying your full NICs and tax liabilities.
Briefly,
From 6 April 2007 contractors who receive services from specialist providers of services to one man limited companies risk being investigated by HMRC for tax and NIC avoidance.
In addition, from January 2008, if you are found to have not paid your tax liabilities and HMRC is unable to extract the monies from you, it is currently being planned that they will present the bill to the relevant recruitment agency under new debt transfer legislation.
Not surprisingly, therefore, NO recruitment agency will want to sign you up on contract unless you have made adequate provision!
NO CONTRACT, NO WORK, NO INCOME !!!
Please find attached some more detailed notes, coupled with a scheme that you may find to be an attractive alternative.
If you would like to discuss the scheme in more detail please give me a call and I will be pleased to put you in touch with the relevant financial advisers.
