I am hoping someone will be able to help me, I have done a lot of searching but not found much guidance on this subject.
I am new to contracting; the first contract I am looking to take up does not seem to provide a structure for resolution of disputes other than legal action after a period where both parties take reasonable steps towards resolution.
I have run the contract past a specialist (albeit in construction contracts) and was advised to push for an arbitration agreement or similar.
So my question is, is the lack of such terms commonplace in the IT contract market? My agent is trying to convince me that it is but it would be nice to hear it from someone else!
Thanks for any help
