Have you seen him recently, he is like a skeleton with a bit of skin holding him together, I am surprised he can even lift a snooker cue.

He's never gone away, still in the world top 16. He lost to John Parrot in the World Champs and was very peed off, f'ed quite a few times on camera.

He has throat cancer, hence the Skeletor impression.

He drinks in my local when hes in London. Spends his days watching the racing and dissapearing to billy hills over the road every now and then. Agreed, he looks like sh1t. He is always pleasant enough though.

I nearly ran Alex Higgins down on my bike in Belfast when he stepped out into the road without looking - what a crap claim to fame. The man in bullet proof - he's had the big C for years and should be long gone from my understanding.

Good. No idea on circumstances. Don't care. Snooker utterly dull, never follow.

Saw Steve Davis in a country pub last year, having a meal with a young slip of a girl (20 ?). She was cooing at him and doing all the right things, but he just looked bored.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
