    Bloody Windows read-ahead file cache

It must have been implemented by Milan!

Tape changers don't do software development.
It must be a bug in SKA.

No bug in SKA - it runs more than twice as fast now that I found way to switch off stupid Windows read-ahead cache, I will have to complain to Bill Gates next time I see him

It was substantially (>50%) reducing SKA performance until I switched it off. It transpires now it is very poorly implemented and the person who did it should be fired from cannon onto the moon, just like threaded did it the other day.
