Cheapest Prof Indemnity Insurance - here

THis is the cheapest place I've found:

    http://www.pi-insurance.net/
It's also underwritten by Royal Sun Alliance

Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

I know this site recommends the following place, but they're very expensive and far from competivite:
    http://www.contractoruk.com/insuranc...indemnity.html

    Thanks,
    Graham

Ermm... That's about double what I pay, and mine's underwritten at Lloyds.

    So, your point is....?

I think you've missed the thread here , where Mal explains where he gets his insurance from so cheaply.

          What?

"This is the cheapest I've found - http://www.pi-insurance.net/. Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper?".

"I pay about half their quoted figures", so that'll be a yes then...?

As in the earlier thread at http://forums.contractoruk.com/thread18616.html

Although I do assume people look before posting, so perhaps not the most imformative answer if you don't.

Thanks for your advice Mal. PCG insurance comes out at £334.20 compared with £289.52 for the insurer I mentioned.

Let me rephrase my question to help some people understand. For £250k of cover for a consultant with £171 revenue last year, does anyone know of cheaper PI than £289.52 from:
            http://www.pi-insurance.net/

For only £37.50 for a consultant with £235 revenue last year, you can't beat www.pimpmyinsurance.com

Yes. For 100k dedicated and £1m shared on £140k turnover I pay £210.

But what is your point? Everyone's risk profile is different. Friend of mine designs safety-critical sub-components in Aircraft systems. He pays £2.5k a year for his PI...
