    New Cabinet

    The names are starting to be confirmed for Gordo's new cabinet - who's in and who's out...

    International Development - Douglas Alexander (was Transport)
    Foreign Sec - David Milliband (was Environment)

    Will it make any difference? Probably not...

      Probably not - she's at the Treasury, after all.

      No idea what she does - I had to type her name into Google to find out!! Even then, I have no idea what "Paymaster General" does, apart from give dodgy loans to Peter Mandleson.

                Gordon Brown WAS NOT ELECTED !! Does not have a mandate. What happened to democracy?

                Wether he is the right or wrong person for the job should'nt an election be triggered?

                He looks like he just got a promotion - its not a 'job' - FFS!

                Is anybody else disgusted by his promotion?

                  No more so than when John Major was promoted to take over from Thatcher. The difference here is that Major was rejected a job as a bus conductor when he left school, on the grounds that he couldn't add up.

                  We don't elect a leader, we elect a party. The party leader of the biggest party (usually) becomes Prime Minister. Not disgusted really - it's the way the system has been, and probably always will be. Any different would result in having a president.

                    He'll win the next election anyway, I think.

                    I actually like the guy, I think he's probably got some very good ideas. I don't like the way he's going to steal all my profits though!
