    George Melly's gone

I am truely saddened to hear that George has died.
Loved his music. He was a great orator and whit. He even had enough humour to sing "what an old codger I am" with the Stranglers.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Step back, have a think and adjust my own own attitude from time to time

Didn't he used to be in Viz?
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?

Saw him last at Ronnie Scotts a few years back when he was hosting a new years party there. Spoke to him afterwards but the dirty old bugger was more interested in talking to (and oggling at) my wife!

Still could knock out good jazz. Told an absolutely obscene joke at the club which made the whole house laugh out loud. Sad loss
If you think my attitude stinks, you should smell my fingers.
