    Which way home

Can any of you lot help me in planning my route from the Chunnel to Lancaster?
    Things to consider:
    The weather.
    Localised flooding.
Preparations for the Tour De France.
    Preparations for the British GP.
M1 North of 19a was closed earlier.

Any recommended routes or sneaky back roads?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

The original point and click interface by
    Smith and Wesson.

Step back, have a think and adjust my own own attitude from time to time

Taxi to Gatwick, Learjet to nearest Lancastrian Airport, Taxi to destination.

    Sorted.

Get the Chunnel to Paris. Fly to Manchester. Get on a train. HTH

Where is Lancaster? Does it have any cities near it that we might have heard of?

Maybe even use the AA website route planner?

That would be quite difficult actually!

As Lancaster is on the west coast, I wouldn't touch the M1. Get the M40 from London to Birmingham, then the M42 round to the M6. Your main problem would be getting round the M25 so I suggest you do all this driving at night - Jeremy Clarkson never has these problems.
Alternatively I suggest you hire a chauffeur(se) and sleep all the way.

Chunnel - use A2 to get to Dartford (M20 probs with tour de France) over QE2 bridge off at M11 up past Cambridge cross over to M6 via A14 up M6 to lancaster bit round the houses but a good stand by if probs with M1
