    Dilemma

    It never rains.

So I've just attended an examination, and I've been awarded a degree provided I put some changes in the dissertation within two weeks. However I also have to fill in two complicated tax forms at the same time.

    Given the alternative

    a) Jail/Hefty fines due to tax form not bein in.

    b) failing the degree.

    Which is preferable.
    I'm alright Jack

take some time off work to enable the two to be completed to a satisfactory standard of quality

write off the time off as an investment in your future (degree) and an investment in getting the tax forms correct

Pay an accountant to fill in the forms. Alternatively if the degree is in accountancy he can do the dissertation.

Do them both. Throw money at the situation.

Can't you get an extension on the tax forms? Phone them up.

Come to think of it, can't you get an extension on the dissertation? Phone them up.
