Thread for suggestions of when and where we next get together. Would be great to get a good turn out.

Initial suggestion has made of somewhere in Richmond. I was here (http://www.stein-s.com/) last weeked. Great if the weather is good and you fancy steins of lovely German beer.

No, we ate at the hotel (http://www.petershamhotel.co.uk/) - was very good, have stayed there a few times now.

That Stein's place is more of a cafe-type menu, albeit Bavarian-styled. We just had a cheese/bread selection thing to accompnay the steins.

Sorry SP - he did ask though.

Oh - I looked it up in the dictionary and everything, but it didn't say that.

Obviously, it still uses the same etymology - from the Yiddish, "to eat". I guess I could have worked it out if I'd tried hard enough, but thought it might stand for / mean something completely different.

How naive.
