    VB 6.0 - stuck again

Grateful for any ideas on this one.

I am modifying an image on an MDI form picturebox, while a 'magnifier', i.e. a smaller moveable non MDI form on top, continuously updates with an enlarged view of the bit I am modifying.

The bit I can't figure out is how to get the smaller form to stay on top rather than lose focus and disappear when I edit the main form. There ought to be a 'stay on top' property or summit but darned if I can find one.

    use win api stuff...

Private Declare Function SetWindowPos Lib "user32" (ByVal hwnd As Long,
ByVal hWndInsertAfter As Long, ByVal x As Long, ByVal y As Long, ByVal cx As
Long, ByVal cy As Long, ByVal wFlags As Long) As Long

    Private Const SWP_NOMOVE = &H2
    Private Const SWP_NOSIZE = &H1
    Private Const HWND_TOPMOST = -1

Now you can set your window as the top most using

    SetWindowPos hwnd, HWND_TOPMOST, 0, 0, 0, 0, SWP_NOMOVE + SWP_NOSIZE

    sort of thing

      Cheers Scotty that works great.

Really must get to grips with API, although it appears to be same thing as SDK which us MFC enlightened VC++ programmers have been indoctrinated to regard as strictly dark ages.
