    Nessun dorma

    RIP Pavarotti

    goney,
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

He'll be teaching the angels to sing.

I loved the concert he did with Carrera and Domingo during Italia 90, I know it wasn't one for the opera purists but it was cracking entertainment.
But I discovered nothing else but depraved, excessive superstition. Pliny the younger

Fantastic powerful voice. So instrumental in introducing me to Classical music.

Huge contribution to my very fond memories of Italia 90 (in my view the best World Cup ever)

        The open air concert
The comeback against Cameroon (the Lineker penalties)
That Semi Final (Stuart Pearce penalty miss)

          Top chap.

However, I know loads of people that went out and bought opera albums after that world cup, and realised that bit in nessan dorma was the only thing they liked.

          Now gathering dust...

Platt's spectacular last minute winner against the Belgians...

                    Now we just concede them.
