How do you deal with complaints?

I’m on a MoD site and some jumped up general has made a complaint about the way I dealt with his problem, I haven’t a clue what he’s on about as I have never had anything but praise in the past?? Anyone who’s ever worked with military people will know they are either nice as pie or feckin pompous bullies who have no manners when dealing with us ‘civvies’ and assume they can treat us just like their subordinates.

If I was a permy I would put in a counter claim of bullying but as a contractor I can do sod all about it if I want to remain on site.

Should I ignore it as just one of those things or remember the name and place a turd on his desk when I leave?

    Specifics of the complaint?

Did you fail to meet his request, or were you just a bit bolshy when you dealt with him?

Unless he was once special forces, then this would be a bad idea

Tell EVERYONE on the base that he's gay. He'll be dead within the hour.

I don’t want to go into specifics as you never know who's reading and I don't want this coming back as evidence, basically we have an SLA but as 'Top Brass' he doesn't think it applies to him.

As a contractor I just have to take this on the chin as 100% of the time they will go with the clients side of the story and this will no doubt put a black mark against my name which is not welcome when renewal time comes around... makes me mad.

Spoken, I've never even met the guy as he buggered off home in a huff!

Seconded - a vastly underrated customer relationship technique.

If he refuses just lay into him - fair warning and all that.....
