How fit are you? - resting heart beat

    What's your resting heart beat?
    Mine's around 65 odd.
Not bad considering I'm not too well at the moment and haven't done any excersise for weeks because of injuries.

55-60. I walk 10 miles a day, which possibly helps.

Mine is 68 but surly it has to take into account your weight / height / age e.t.c.

Am not convinced that resting heart beat is always a good indicator of fitness. Mines around 55 and I am not planning on running any marathons anytime soon. My old mans is around 48 and he smokes 20 a day so maybe its more of a genetic thing than fitness related.
