Oh Dear (TM) - Redundancies Threaten

The company I joined as a permie 3 months ago has recently lost a large contract, so now about 20 people are without a project. They reckon if those people can't be placed in other projects they're going to start making people redundant. And as the newest member of the team, guess who'll be out the door first.

    Bugger!

Still depending on the redundancy terms it could work out quite nice.

I applied for redundncy after being with a company for 8 months, and I was offered 15 weeks pay.

I went for voluntary redundancy many years ago and walked away with £20K in pay (probably £50K in today's money) and walked into another job 2 days after leaving.
