    Signs that there is chance for peace in the world

    What with a commitment to peace in Northern Ireland, breaking news that another one of the 20th century's bitter disputes is now at an end link here (safe for work)

    I find it strangely encouraging: that the NME is written by people so dedicated to the music that they don't get distracted by the spelling of "feud" even when it's in the headline.

      I also remember that Oasis beat Blur to a number one chart spot in that era. Judging by the venom a Radio 1 female DJ spouted at the time, it was a London vs the rest of the country thang, so no surprise at the NME's write up. They obviously still haven't got over it
