Getting New Year plans sorted for once

I know it's a long way off but I wanted to arrange a few days up in the Lakes for the traditional post-Christmas lethargy period up to and including New Year.

Something like a cottage would probably be best rather than a hotel because of our 18 month old. I've just plucked the Lake District out of the air but I'm easy on locations really. We have tended to go to the South West in the past because it's more convenient to get to from Kent.

Anyone got any good recommendations for areas / cottages?

The National Trust has some good campsites up that way that have a couple of cottages you can rent.

There's one right on Windermere (Low Wray) that I think has a cottage to rent - if not, just camp!

I wouldn't fancy the lakes in a tent at that time of the year.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

        I preferred version 1!

                Christmas and New Year

You could join me in Canada if you wanted to? It'll be a bit chilly, mind.

I dislike any events that require any kind of organisation.
