Can you believe it's been a year since the last one?!!!

Can you believe how few fights there've been this year?!

Can you believe my post count STILL hasn't reached 5000 yet?!!

Anyway...I loved meeting up last year - it was a really cool night.
And I think we've really grown as a board this year, (a lot of us even know what each other looks like now, thanks to facebook) so I'll be hoping for a MUCH bigger turn out this time!

I'm not going to f*nny about with doing polls of dates and what not, cause that didn't work at all well :D I'll just say: -

Friday 30th November.
London.
Massive night on the beers, starting as early as possible.

Get it in your diaries people, and let me know who's coming.

Yes, just bang in a claim for £26 a day, even if you don't go. Just get a dispensation, and then you can claim for loads with no receipts. (IANAA, so that might be an indication to commit fraud, but it's not going to be me that gets reamed for it).

No problem. How many people so far & estimate? Did we decide central London?

Hiya - there are about 13 absolute definates, and another 11 maybes (possibly with other halfs??)
So anywhere from between 15 and 40 on the day?! (We'll know better nearer the time)

So we need to be looking at quite a large venue to cater for us all on a Friday.

That said, we were oK last year in that tiny boozer weren't we?! As long as we get out early and take up all the space (which I can do - I scare people off easy in London by talking to them) :D We'll be fine! Just somewhere central!

Soho?
(You have a few weeks to do some "research") :D

Large pub that's empty in Soho is quite difficult. I go to the 'Spice of Life' which is one of the emptier ones at Cambridge Circus.

Anywhere near Soho on a Friday night is going to be difficult after 5pm, unless I reserve a place - which is doable. Be easier, quieter and more comfortable if it was less central - say, Islington, Farringdon, Greenwich etc - but there's plenty of options.

You want the option of a sit-down meal or just ad-hoc snacks? PM me the list of definites and probables and I'll PM a list of locations to vote on - unless that's too much faff and we go with the first choice. ;)

Lloyd's bar, Soho - relatively quiet and cheap
O'Neill's - large space - busy and noisy but should fit people in

This is why private members clubs started around here.

City bars will be empty but lifeless. Islington's busy on fridays. Greenwich is miles away from anywhere

Could try the big bars near Fabric (opposite Smithfields)

RH - PMing and choosing of locations is WAY too much fannying on.
If I'm coming down from bloody Sunderland, people can just turn up to whatever part of London we choose and be done!

Just get yourself out over the next few Fridays (Ms Princess can accompany you) and choose us a relatively decent boozer!

Oh, and when I say quiet, I dont mean empty. I just mean somewhere that can fit 20 people in without us having to stand on each other (i.e. pub busy, just not club busy).

And :spank: a bit more for the meal idea :spank:

I would welcome the opportunity of meeting SASguru and hearing his drunken serenade that he was out practising down Olde London Towne just last night. No wonder he’s sad and lonely. Everyone sing along.

It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
Ive got a feeling
This years for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true
