Very uninformative article in the SWEP tonight... nice picture of the plod helicopter plus a resounding "no comment" from the plod....

Some guy stretchered away to hospital.

Speaking as I was of the plod getting up themselves...

This little excitement was caused by some poor diabetic sod not taking his insulin.

For reasons that are not clear (this being reported in the SWEP), in addition to the paramedics requested by his wife, two armed response units & a fecking helicopter were despatched to deal with this.

He was ordered out of the house at gun point, handcuffed while trying to vomit & his wife was restrained from re entering the house.

All in all a fine waste of police time.

Miscreant was then taken to hospital, treated, and released the next day.

Wonder how much that little lot cost.

No one is admitting who got it into their heads that he was armed.
