Knowing How Much To Ask For.

When you've set up potential income for a small company that would basically get it properly off the ground and running for at least 4 years (we're talking approx £10m a year here)...

How much do you ask for? What sort of t&c's do you ask for? Who do you goto for help?

    Lots of factors:

    1. You say "you've set up". On your own? How much of this "potential income" is down to you?
    2. How likely is the potential to become reality?
    3. You talk income, what about operating costs?
    4. What happens at the end of year 4?
    5. What level of risk are you happy with? i.e. payment based on actually hitting targets?

Also, if you have already done the work without this being agreed, you're on the back foot.

What a strange posting. This company wouldn't involve the import and testing of narcotics would it?

You mean you're developing something for the company? Why not asking for a small fee and then take a shares in the company as the remainder of the payment.

That way the company saves having to pay you now and you get upside potential from sales in the future.

Are we talking about software to support the processes? If so, do you own the IP rights to it? Is it already developed? Do you have a lawyer?!
We don't have to save the world. The world is big enough to look after itself. What we have to be concerned about is whether or not the world we live in will be capable of sustaining us in it.
