    Al Gore

Looking at his bio and what he has been involved in etc it seems he is a highly intelligent and perceptive man, who has made a large contribution to the world.

Why despite all I read about him does he still make my skin crawl?

    Is it just me?

Hero of out times or opportunist, exploitatative lying scumbag.

He seems to have taken the 2000 election theft in his stride much better than I would've done. I think that had it been me I'd have probably looked on it as an excuse to foment revolution!

Also, it'd be interesting to ask the question "What If ... Gore Had Been President On September 11th 2001?"

His wife was a founder member of the PMRC, another Christian, bible bashing do gooder organisation

The PMRC claimed that popular music, and especially hard rock, punk rock and heavy metal music, was partially responsible for the perceived contemporary increase in rape, teenage pregnancy, and teen suicide. The group's mission was "to educate and inform parents" about "the growing trend in music towards lyrics that are sexually explicit, excessively violent, or glorify the use of drugs and alcohol," and to seek the censorship and rating of music.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

He'd have blamed it on global warming?

He's married to a Religious zealot, who sought to censor music, so more than likely he's one himself?

Being an alcoholic is not a belief system AFAIK

My point being that being married to someone, doesn't make you the same as that person, be it beliefs, or the behaviour, problems, talents whatever. I know a few people married to religious people who aren't so themselves.

Anyway, I rather have a religious zealot spous of the US president than an actual religious Zealot president (And feckwit) as one.
