Microsoft has invested $240m (£117m) in social networking site Facebook in exchange for a 1.6% share of the company.

That puts a value of $15bn (£7.3bn) on a firm that has only been in existence three and a half years. :eek

Now that's a SKA. A bit of php to knock up a website, and in no time at all the big boys value your little adventure at $15,000,000,000

Where as some people have spent their time training squirrels instead. :rolleyes:

M$ -> Hotmail
Google -> Gmail
now
M$ -> Facebook
Google -> Orkut

So can we now expect with the cold hand of Redmond laying on Facebook to become as fscked as Hotmail? And Orkut to become the tool of choice?
