    Retraining to be a plumber

Would be interested to hear how those contractors who were going to retrain to be plumbers went on?

How is the world of the trapped stool in the u-bend?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

If you were going to retrain in anything, surely going back and doing a medical degree would make the most sense, with the aim of becoming a GP.

    1. Lots of young medical student girlies.
    2. £250,000 pa for diagnosing a cold http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/news/new...salaries.shtml

Retrain to be a plumber ?

I've been in IT for 22 years, over 2 weekends I'd ripped out the kitchen and bathroom and refitted the lot

          WHAT TRAINING?

I can see that these figures make a lot of sense. Are they government figures?

I know a guy who used to be involved in quality and inspection for Westland Helicopters, I was involved in planning an production for the same firm, he retrained as a plumber and I laughably now call myself an IT professional, if the wages were that good do you think either of us would have bothered?
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Makes sense - in the first case hairdressers are beautify, and all the rest fall into the other category.
