Which side of your nose do you think?

The mind is an odd thing.

Presumably most have been in a situation where there is some problem really worrying them and no matter how hard they try they keep having the same thoughts over and over again. No matter how pointless they know it is, they keep rehearsing the same tactics and arguments.

I have had some sleepless nights recently due to a legal dispute but have now discovered a very odd remedy. Normally it feels as if I think from a position slightly to the right of my nose. I find if I concentrate I can think from a position slightly to the left of my nose. Thinking from this position is completely immune from worry and I find I cannot worry or even think about the problem even if I try.

If you have something worrying you try moving your nose over a bit.

I find lying on the floor and looking at the ceiling helps. It's like seeing the world (and therefore the problem) from a new perspective.
