    Carp = crap

    How many people realise the filter is gonna change cr*p to carp and just type carp anyway?

    News to me

    I thought there were just loads of careless typers out there - it all makes sense now. What other word substitutions do I need to know about?

    Is that where the **** brand came from - a foul mouthed contractor on CUK?

    Suddenly, the world just makes more sense.

      ****=????

      And there's another one - here I am talking about a legitimate brand and it gets the **** treatment.

      So, take the first letter of these four phrases and you'll get the brand name:

      For goodness sake
      Can we not express ourselves
      Under the CUK thumb
      Knowledge is a dangerous thing

      See!

        I can see this site doing very well in Google searches for fishermen.

        Maybe we'll get another invasion like the Cornish farmers.

          No, the brand was always just French Connection. As they became more global, they started to add the location as in internal identifier - thus French Connection Hong Kong became FCHK, and the United Kingdom branch became the brand that we see today.

          Such was the success of the UK branch, it seems to have dominated the marketing.

                    You mean CARP as in Common Address Redundancy Protocol? As implemented in OpenBSD, basically it's a Free equivalent of Cisco's HSRP
