    The Verve

I'm off to Blackpool to see the Verve tonight. I last saw them live in '97 at their "farewell" gig at Haigh Hall in Wigan...

Has anyone been to any other dates on the tour? Any good? What can I expect?

I saw Richard Ashcroft at the IOW festival in 2006, he was very good but kept going on about David Cameron and how we shouldn't believe his tulips, he failed to come up with a reasonable alternative though.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I saw The Fall in a workingman's club, they were competing with the bingo caller.

I'm surprised Mr Smith didn't wrap his mic stand round the bingo caller's neck. Last time I saw them he kept unplugging Brix's amp. John Peel was there (it was in Norwich) and he found it highly amusing. Brix didn't...

I went to the same school as them, I was a prefect when they were first years so probably gave them a kicking or two.
