Chnina to build wheel to dwarf London Eye

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asi...ic/7081588.stm

China has started to build what will be the world's biggest wheel, dwarfing its rival, the London Eye.
The observation wheel, due to open in 2009, will stand at 208m (686ft) - the third-tallest structure in Beijing.

**** getting on that! They can't even build cheap plastic toys without large numbers of them being recalled every year for being shoddily made.

In my native town we lived on the 6th floor and in the kitchen window we could see this wheel thingy in a leasure park about 1 mile away from our house - often it would get stuck during the day with people waiting on top to get down for hours: would have hated it to be me, especially on a huge wheel

But if the place is full of smog and you can't see more than three feet on a good day what is the point?

The point xoggoth is to have the bigger wheel than in London, that's the point.
