Average pre-tax wage in Britain is £457

    http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=285
The monetary difference between the median level of full-time earnings in the public sector (£498 per week in April 2007) and the private sector (£439 per week) has widened over the year to April 2007, following annual increases of 3.0 per cent and 2.9 per cent respectively.

New Lie non-jobs now pay better than the private sector.

Still, it's low for a daily rate.

Imagine if they had to manage on minimum wage like many contractors do!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

All the guff about 'average' property prices being 8 times median income multiples. Yes that's Gross income, probably more like 12 times Net income. This can obviously be sustained.

I never quite got the reason they had you fixing the fruit machines when the boards are so cheap they're throwaway.

Was the firm or the machines 'dodgy' is some way?
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Mad Frankie Fraser used to mend fruit machines for the Richardsons. You can't get much dodgier than that.

Oh no. When can we expect them all to spring to life and start killing people?
