    1. Depends if it's billable.
    2. Claim it all
    3. Yes unless she normally requires a bag over her head in public
    4. No idea

I take my wife at every opportunity.

            1. Networking, my boy, networking. It doesn't do any harm to get your face known.
            2. Everything. It is a work-related meeting with one of your customers, is it not?
            3. I don't because I don't like her seeing me make an utter fool of myself in public ... which I usually do!
            4. Dunno. Go and find out, after all, someone's paying so how bad can it be? If it's pants, demand your money back.

1 - You should probably arrange with your agent if he will be paying a day rate or hourly rate for the pleasure of your company.
Also will it be time and a half for after hours or double time for weekends?

3 - This question should be "What should I tell the wife?". I recommend telling her you're working late and will be meeting up with your agent and a prospective client afterwards for drinks and to discuss a new opportunity.

You should go. You're representing your business, it shows a level of professional conduct.

Go, show your face, do a bit of networking and then leave for a better night out with your partner.

At least no one can say you never showed up.

therein lies madness & financial ruin.
                    be open & honest
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
