Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder!!!

Perhaps the 'deficit in attention' comes from the ubiquitous absence of any responsible father figure "administering" some attention to the unruly little fookers at a young age?? Is this just used as a catch-all excuse for poor parenting or is there anything in it?
