Photography question

My Epson scanner has an attachment that allows you to scan the negatives yourself and save them as pictures.

Probably cheaper than getting someone to do it, if you have the time.

Most of the high street chains will do this for you. I think some of them even have self service machines to put them onto CD or a memory card.

Yep most people can do this for you. My Cos office equipment was upgraded last year and I now have have a scanner that can do negatives.

Cost £120 ex vat. Think it was a Lide 600F

Its a slow process but worth it as you can touch up as you go. If you do it though scan at the highest resolution that you possibly can (without interpolation). No point scanning at a small res to save time.

I got this done by max speilman a few years ago, but the results were pretty poor.

They had reduced the quality of the images so that they looked rubbish when printed out, I complained but apparantly it's standard practice so that you hve to go back to them for reprints....

This was a fair few years ago, so things may have moved on since then.

I have a professional negative scanner - brilliant quality but takes FOREVER to load the negatives by hand!

I have previously had 6 photographic recommended.
