    Buying in Thailand

Onwership of land in Thailand by foreigners is a no no, however you can own property though leasehold or via a Ltd company.

At this moment I'm leaning towards owning via leasehold - opinions anyone?

    This place is wow:

Looks like a lot of money (£440K) for 1.364 sqm. Is that meters? ! Why Thailand rather than say Malasia? I've cycled around both and much preferred Malasia.

      I like the food.

It's quiet/beautiful in the part of the world yet you still have access to western living while feeling secure.

If you're going East I think Goa is a better bet in terms of investment as alreadypacked will tell you.
        Hard Brexit now!

The Malaysian government actually have a programme to get foreigners to set up home there:

Goa is tourist total territory! No thanks! That's like going to the south of Thailand and finding myself amongst the sleazy westerners looking for a date, yuck!

No no no no, I know I prefer the piece and quiet the culture has to offer the way life is amazing, the people very kind... (as are the Indians)
