It's official - Business does not give a fork about IT

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7143417.stm

Computer skills are still undervalued in the UK board room, according to software giant Microsoft.

It surveyed 500 UK business leaders and found that a knowledge of information technology (IT) was seen as the seventh most important workplace skill. (DP - Knowing where the carbon paper is kept was sixth most important skill )

Instead, team working and interpersonal skills were seen as the core factors, followed by initiative.

Microsoft chairman Bill Gates said IT skills were needed from the shop floor to the chief executive.

Makes you feel all warm inside, doesn't it. Knowing that you as IT professionals rank Higher than Tea boys, just lower than receptionists
Confusion is a natural state of being

Well, they were mentioning UK business leaders, and most of them seem more interested in screwing every last penny out before they jet off to a retirement somewhere sunny.

Think they ought to ask business leaders of growing businesses what their priorities are.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

Fortunately I know of a small group of companies where everyone is an IT genius.

Just house price they fall down on.
