Seemingly harmless household electrical goods suddenly exploding?

If I didn't know better I'd suspect someone is behind this with a cunning plan to take over the world.

I'm thinking they were smoking (maybe pot maybe normal fags - all 14 and 15 year olds) and they tried to use aerosols to cover the smell up.

Don't know the UN classification of the gas canister but my DGSA spidery sense is telling me that its not powerful enough to do this.
