My first bit of bad news today

We've run out of milk, so no cornflakes for me. I'll have to have toast.

Our government is financially and morally bankrupt. They need a lot of money fast. Your money. Expect some incredible tax increases on top of the incredible tax increases we've seen over the last 10 years.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the top rate of income tax at 90%.

A report I read from one reputable bank (not British) reckon that UK house prices will hold up just dipping slightly.

It will be an interesting year, we'll see. Personally I'm not convinced, and if I were a BTL'er I'd be sh*tting bricks (as they say).
          I'm alright Jack

            Sentiment

            Well

it seems that sentiment is the forerunner and the more people that say it will go badly tits up the more likely it will.

My barometer is that estate agents are not even pretending that its ok anymore (except Foxtons, but they are amoebas)

I would say have a nice wedge put aside for a rough time,

Only if they're financially astute, otherwise stuff 'em.
